Our stunning British-made artisan range takes its name from Mount Karisimbi on the border of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The highest volcanic peak in the Virunga National Park, it is also home to the majestic yet endangered mountain gorillas.
On a mission to take rum drinking and animal conservation to new frontiers, we’ve combined our passions and we’re driving change for gorillas with 10% of profit from every bottle sold being donated to the Gorilla Organization (Charity number: 1117131).
What we call GAT or Gorilla Added Tax, the donations help to protect and conserve the endangered mountain gorilla population.
Mountain gorillas are facing extinction with only 1,069 currently in existence. Immediate action needs to be taken to save the world’s gorilla population and the gorilla organisation’s exceptional work into gorilla conservation has already helped to raise the number of mountain gorillas in the wild.
The Gorilla Organisation work with communities at the very forefront of gorilla conservation with innovative and award-winning projects in Rwanda, Uganda, DR Congo.
Our donation is a significant contribution and demonstrates our deep commitment to being an ethical, socially responsible business.
